Hello!

Yes, it’s another Wolverine figure! This one is significantly larger and scales in a 1/8! This is the Polar Lights kit which has been re-issued with two alternate heads of our favourite X-Man, one masked and one unmasked. The figure is moulded in an impressive fighting pose and sits on top of a display base in the form of a freshly sliced and diced sentinel mutant killer robot. When I saw this, I just had to build it!

This is an easy kit to build. Its designed to be a snap together model and the quality of the mouldings is good. What we get is something that resembles the character of Wolverine and captures his essence. I glued the parts together and added filler where the seams met.

The sentinel head was fun to play with, I added a few details her and there to liven things up. However once I finished painting adding wires and cutting out claw marks I realised that I was not happy with the purple shade that I had mixed. So I have ordered some purple metallic auto paint that should make this really pop when its done.

I have begun the painting process on the figure and I am correcting seams and adding details as I go. The biggest improvement I have made is to use putty to make tears in Wolverines uniform, this should make him look more animated.  As per the box art, I am going to paint him in classic yellow and blue uniform. I have decided to try for look that artist Jim Lee gave to the comic book character in the 90’s as below……..

I have a long way to go, but it will be a fun build! Here is what I have so far…….
