Mustang!

s-l1600

I love warbirds! So P-51 Mustangs are a thing of beauty to me. I have always said to cure a modelling block, ease modelling fatigue or just for the simple pleasure of building an easy, fun kit you cannot beat the Tamiya 1/48 family of WWII fighters.

Here we have Tamiya’s 1/48 P-51D MUSTANG built straight from the box. No fuss, just FUN!

This model is painted in the famous blue nose livery of “PETIE 3rd” of the 487th Fighter Squadron 352nd FG, as flown by John Meyer.

This build was an absolute pleasure to work on! The fit, details and decals all top notch. The model was painted in Alclad II for the metallic finish and the blue was mixed from Tamiya acrylics.

Here is the finished model.

Hope you have enjoyed the build, thanks for visiting! Until next time, take care and Happy Modelling!
